Baby Shower

Last Sunday was our co-ed baby shower where we celebrated the impending arrival of Baby Iken at the O'Connor Residence! We had a great time visiting with friends and family while enjoying the fun games, decorations, and yummy food. We ate jerk chicken, sausages, pasta salad, green salad and fruit salad - all thanks to Angela and Marnell. My mom showed off her creative side by making the cutest diaper cakes I have ever seen and fun photos on each table of Chad and I when we were babies. Everything matched the baby blue and brown invitation, right down to the favors and cupcakes. We played a few fun games including the Price is Right, Smelly Diaper and Celebrity Baby Names. Chad and I got tons of wonderful presents and had fun opening them, in between answering baby trivia questions to determine how ready we are to be parents - luckily we scored fairly well. We got a few homemade gifts including a wooden bookshelf for the baby's room made by my brother, an amazing quilt made by my Aunt Ellen, and a fully decorated scrapbook for the Baby's first year made by Angela. We feel very lucky to have such amazing friends and family and can't wait for Baby Iken to meet all of them. Click here for a few pics from the shower.
