Life is Good

As you can see in this photo, "Life is Good" in the Iken house. The past 3.5 weeks have been full of lots of "colorful" diaper changes, feedings, laughs, smiles, and kisses. Chase is an amazing baby for the most part, with the exception of a few cranky days where he wants to be held, danced around, fed and entertained constantly. We have taken him for a few walks down to the park, although the swings will have to wait another couple months. He loves to sleep with Mommy and is an amazing cuddler. Here he is in his Boppy Bouncer, which has been his "bed" when not laying on Mommy, Daddy or Grammy. Chase is growing SO quickly he is almost into the next size diaper and clothing. At his two week check-up he had already gained a pound since birth so we expect he is probably close to 10 pounds by now - WOW! We have MANY nicknames for him with Hungry Hunter, Chasey, Handsome, Mr. Cranky Pants, Monkey Boy and Houdini being some of our favorites. Chad's mom arrives from New Jersey today to meet her new grandson for the first time! Wish us luck for the adventures that lie ahead and we'll be sure to give another update when "the king" allows.
